SPITFIRE
SPITFIRE
The Spitfire fills a need. It combines the features of recoil reduction and sound deflection. It achieves the recoil reduction through its radially offset ports, which stabilize the torque the rifling puts on the bullet as it makes it’s way along the barrel. These ports also reduce recoil, since they are straight walls and a 4 port design.
The unique thing about the spitfire is that it is convertible to a sound deflection device. Such devices have an easy to define objective; push sound, flash, and gas away from the user. The Spitfire does this through a thread on funnel that forces sound and gas away from the user. The diameter of this can still allows for the brake to function, which means the end user gets the best of everything, recoil reduction and sound deflection, and gas deflection.
This device was also engineered for ease of use, maintenance, and installation. The hexagon pattern allows use of standard 3/4” SAE socket for installation and removal and no crush washers, shims or timing is required. Just bolt it on and run.
